Year 10

Our Chemistry lessons build a firm foundation in essential content and process skills for our students to achieve academic excellence in the subject. We aim to allow our students to acquire sufficient knowledge and understanding to be suitably prepared for studies beyond Cambridge IGCSE.

Students will be taught the topic through notes, tutorials and concept maps. Our materials facilitate the understanding and internalisation of content, and are dedicated to introducing and practising essential exam skills.

Our Physics lessons build a firm foundation in essential content and process skills for our students to achieve academic excellence in the subject. We aim to allow our students to acquire sufficient knowledge and understanding to develop skills that are relevant to the study and practice of physics.

Students will be taught the topic through notes, tutorials and concept maps. Our materials facilitate the understanding and internalisation of content, and are dedicated to introducing and practising essential exam skills.

Our Biology lessons build a firm foundation in essential content and process skills for our students to achieve academic excellence in the subject. We aim to allow our students to acquire sufficient knowledge and understanding to develop skills that encourage a systematic approach to problem-solving and be prepared for studies beyond Cambridge IGCSE.

Students will be taught the topic through notes, tutorials and concept maps. Our materials facilitate the understanding and internalisation of content, and are dedicated to introducing and practising essential exam skills.

With our lessons, we hope our students can consolidate and extend their elementary mathematical skills, and use these in the context of more advanced techniques while further developing their knowledge of mathematical concepts and principles, and use this knowledge for problem solving.

The Maths tutoring lessons aim to improve students' academic performance in math based on school and international exam trends with a strong focus on fundamental techniques, higher-order thinking and mathematical principles.

We hope our students can develop their mathematical abilities by considering problems and conducting individual and co-operative enquiry and experiment, including extended pieces of work of a practical and investigative kind

Our English lessons develops students’ writing, speaking, reading, and listening skills, enhancing their overall language appreciation and mastery. We aim to enable our students to communicate accurately, appropriately, confidently and effectively using English.

As a combination of all 3 branches of Sciences, our lessons build a firm foundation in essential content and process skills for our students to achieve academic excellence in the subject. We aim to allow our students to acquire sufficient knowledge and understanding of concepts, principles and applications of biology, chemistry and physics and, where appropriate, other related sciences

Students will be taught the topic through notes, tutorials and concept maps. Our materials facilitate the understanding and internalisation of content, and are dedicated to introducing and practising essential exam skills.

Our Combined Science lessons build a firm foundation in essential content and process skills for our students to achieve academic excellence in the subject.

Through our Mandarin classes, our students can obtain insights into the culture and society of countries where the language is spoken while being a fluent user of the language. We aim to develop the students' awareness of the nature of language and language learning. We also encourage positive attitudes towards speakers of other languages and a sympathetic approach to other cultures and civilisations.

Through our Malay classes, our students can obtain insights into the culture and society of countries where the language is spoken while being a fluent user of the language. We aim to develop the students' awareness of the nature of language and language learning. We also encourage positive attitudes towards speakers of other languages and a sympathetic approach to other cultures and civilisations.

Our Accounting lessons allow students to develop knowledge and understanding of the principles and purposes of accounting for individuals, businesses, non-trading organisations and society as a whole. Our students have an understanding of accounting principles, policies, techniques, procedures and terminology as well as improved skills of numeracy, literacy, communication, enquiry, presentation and interpretation.

Our lessons ensure students apply their knowledge and critical understanding to current issues and problems in a wide range of business contexts. We aim to help students develop knowledge and understanding of the major groups and organisations within and outside business, and consider ways in which they are able to influence objectives, decisions and activities.

Economics is a subject that develops students’ ability to use the tools of economic analysis in particular situations. Our lessons can develop their ability to use economic skills to understand better the world in which they live and to further their understanding of the economies of developed and developing nations and of the relationships between them.

The aim of our Geography lessons is to encourage students to develop an understanding of location on a local, regional and global scale. We also seek to promote an awareness of the characteristics, distribution and processes affecting contrasting physical and human environments. Through the lessons, our students can understand the ways in which people interact with each other and with their environment.

We seek to stimulate an interest in and enthusiasm for learning about the past for students. Our lessons promote the acquisition of knowledge and understanding of individuals, people and societies in the past and ensure that learners’ knowledge is rooted in an understanding of the nature and use of historical evidence. Students are also encouraged to develop of historical skills, including investigation, analysis and communication skills.

Our IGCSE Information and Communication Technology lessons aim to develop knowledge of ICT including new and emerging technologies and skills to enhance work produced in a range of contexts. Students are able to obtain skills to analyse, design, implement, test and evaluate ICT systems as well as skills to consider the impact of current and new technologies.
